I’d like to talk about the laptop I borrowed from my classmate.
A few weeks ago, we had an assignment to make a presentation about the country we’d like to visit. After I got home, I realized that I left my charger at school, and the battery of my laptop was running low. It could only last for no more than 1 hour, which was definitely not enough for me to finish making the PowerPoint. I could ask my professor for an extension, but usually he wouldn’t make any exception.
It was already late, like 8 p.m., and I was quite sure our classroom was locked. Unfortunately I didn’t have the key. So it was impossible to get my charger. I didn’t know what to do, and then it suddenly occurred to me that one of my classmates is living in the neighborhood who uses the same laptop as mine. So I came up with the idea that I could borrow his charger.
When I got to his place, I explained the reason I came by, and he said there’s no need to borrow a charger, I could use his laptop to finish the homework ‘cause he had a desktop. It was not a bad idea ‘cause his place has better Internet service than I do at home.
I downloaded tons of pictures of Dubai, and I searched some information from Wikipedia, and then I put them all together in my PowerPoint.
I don’t think I can pull it off without my classmate’s laptop, so I’m really grateful.
