2016年9月28日，泰晤士高等教育(Times Higher Education)发布了最新的2016-2017世界大学专业排名，包含艺术人文、商业与经济、医学与健康、计算机科学、工程技术、生命科学、自然科学和社会科学八个大类。其中，商业与经济、计算机科学都是今年首次开始发布的专业排名。

以下是2016-2017Times世界大学工程与技术专业排名，包含来自18个国家和地区的100多所学校。主要涉及专业包含土木工程、电子工程、化学工程等等。英美高校在本榜单同样占据领先的位置，但同时来自新加坡、中国、瑞士的大学也表现出色。
中国进入工程技术专业排名的大学数量仅次于美国和英国，排在第三位，超过了德国、澳大利亚和加拿大。具体来看，北京大学位列第12位，清华大学23位，中国科学技术大学位列第38位，上海交通大学53位，浙江大学67位，复旦大学72位，南京大学85位。
